C5 V6 2004 (series 1) intermittent power and brake fault

Post by mkelly1 »

Over a period of about 6 months I have experienced strange and intermittent faults involving:

- anti-pollution message
- catalytic converter message
- rough running on startup
- sudden loss of power at suburban speed
- no brake boost on startup
- loss of brake boost at suburban speed
- sudden braking/xmission lockup at carpark speed

Experienced dealer has progressively eliminated coils, injectors, manifold and brake booster sources.

If anyone has a new (or even an old) theory that could link these symptoms, I would be one very relieved Citroen owner!

Thanks. Michael (Sydney Aus)

Battery lead/terminals?

I'm very cynical about dealers; if there were no coherence in stored fault codes it may point towards an electrical supply issue.
