Cruise Control Location - Peugeot 405

Post by addo »

I'm more about the underbonnet bits, Series 1.

Can anyone remember seeing a car thus equipped? Was the pump just in the offside front corner, bolted to the inner wing and almost touching the headlight?

While I'm at it, was the control box under the dash driver's side or atop the HVAC assembly on passenger's side?

Thanks in advance for any reminiscing!

I honestly cannot remember, not 100% sure if UK spec ones had it, although the executive may well of had it as an optional extra. But we would see quite a few non-UK cars too...

I'll see if I can remember anything plus I'd look at some notes / data I have too ;)

Wow! Thanks very much for that; it allows me to cobble something up which looks OEM. The bracket 1628J7 is all I really lack...

As to "Why cruise on an Mi16?" - simple; to keep my licence!

Adam, Andy, that looks exactly like the 'standard' vacuum Hella system used on all PSA vehicles...

They were all much of a muchness really, only varying a bit in detail as to how the bellows connected to the butterfly...

Yes, the backing plate for the pump/reg and the bellows bracket were all that varied.

You're welcome Adam. That's all I have for pics and information (I thought I'd provide the whole lot :D ) though there's no more variations of pics. Its probably ( ! ) safe to assume that for instance where it states just one model / type and there's no pic for the others its the same, probably.

Jim, yes I did wonder that a bit as looks not far off the 605 ones actually, although I'd have to go digging more to confirm that with part numbers.
