Hi all,
After a long long drive down to the French Riviera and back, my S-max has developed a wierd starting problem.
Its got the DW10 16V engine with a Siemens fuel pump driven off the back of one camshaft.
I don't know exactly how much of the engine / ancils are common between PSA & Ford but just wondered if there are any known niggles associated with start-up ?
> the battery is okay, it just takes half a dozen attempts to crank & shudder into life
> once started...the car runs fine.
> however a simple stop at a filling station is an issue, as the car struggles to start again even when warm.
I'm concluding some little stupid cut-off gadget is stopping air or fuel from getting to the engine...
I've heard rumours about throttle body problems but don't know specific details.
Can anybody shed any light?
