Trim clips...

Unread post by davetherave »

In removing part of the headlining on my cx, a couple of the plastic clips have broken taking the little circular bit that retains them with it.
Does anyone know where to get these, and the plastic plugs too?

Does that even make sense :?

Ah yes Dave - very common indeed.

These clips are shared also with the doorcard in-fills on the S2s (perhaps borrow a couple from them?) and the trick to get them out without them breaking is to carefully prise them out with a screwdriver, putting pressure on the clips themselves so they 'pop' out out.

Unfortunately I don't think we've any spare, but I can have a look. :)

Staples or pins would are a good quick fix for when the headlining material has sagged.

Unforunately I think Dave is on about the trims (A post, B Post etc). :)

Hi Steve, did not know they made it in white, as I've only got hold of it in brown, although it does come in various shades.

I generally use the clear version - not as obvious when it gets where it isn't supposed to. Supposedly cures under water to, if you can believe it.

Well the sticks like sh!t might be an option if no trim bits can be found!
Thankfully the trim bits are a ittle way off, welding will be ongoing for some time!
