Hi all,
I have a persistant leak which I just can not figure out.
I have narrowed it down to this thing( see photo).
Can someone please tell me what this is / what it does , it seems to be some sort of a switch or gauge connected to a return line on the sphere between the radiator & engine on a v6 xantia.
If possible, please provide a schematic & hints on pulling it apart & putting it back together.
regards
another leak, what is this?

Its the Hydractive electrovalve, they often leak from the join where the valve joins onto the main body, there's a rubber seal at the join and/or the valve body being made from aluminium suffers corrosion hence the leak. I don't think the rubber seal is available separately but seals from the main pump apparently fit. Do a search on the forum and you'll find a few threads on the subject, I know a Kiwi member called "Mandrake" and "CitroJim" have written threads on this subject.
