Yes, Activas, and I believe V6/2.1TDs as well, had wider wings.

Yeah, unfortunately MK2 wings are different, I can't remember if they can be made to fit or not though, if they can then they'd do.

S1 2.1, V6 and Activa wings were wider..

BUT Hold on!!!

S2 wings to nose cones differ!! Because S2 grill are incorperated into the bonnet, the under headlight trims are a seperate peice instead of a complete single piece as on S1. S1 Grill cones have a torx screw holding the trim edge to the wing, and S2's use a CLIP! They dont appear compatible...also S2 under headlight trims clip to the side of the headlight which are obviously shaped differently.

The shape of S2 indicators ARE different, S2 headlights/indicators are shaped at a steeper angle for a slightly better streamline, meaning they will NOT line up with S1 headlights... If you fit S2 headlights, you'll need to change the bonnet, and then also the Slam Panel..

I wouldn't bother trying to mix and match S1 and S2 stuff, it can get messy. You will have to find Series 1 V6 or 2.1 or of course Activa Wings.....

EDIT: ** SO Im prooved wrong...........!!!

You are spot-on Xac. The MK1 Activa, V6 and 2.1TD all shared the same 'fat' wings...

The wing mod has naff all to do will grille/indicators/lights/bonnet/trim strips!
I've fitted a s2 fat wing on a s1 Activa with NO real issues.

There's a tab on the leading edge of the s2 wing (inboard) that needs removal
(very easily done as very light gauge) that slots into the headlight panel.
You never see it as it's hidden behind everything so even if you just bend
it to/fro and work harden snap it off, it's not needed on the s1.

ergo:
s2 wings will fit the car you're upgarding to an Activa 'look'

The original grille and indicator + fastenings are then exactly the same set up.
