'Normal' Xantia II (non activa, non hydractive).
From the service history I think the accumulator sphere has never been changed (11 years, 67000 miles). The front side ones have been changed (30000 miles).
I can't hear ticking with engine running, but then the engine (Hdi) is noisy enough to drown out ticking I think.
I recently replaced all three rear spheres and after that it seems front of car has become more 'bouncy'.
Think I need to replace accumulator sphere. Opinions, please.

The accumulator doesn't affect the ride quality particularly, it would affect the feel of the brakes if it was totally flat like the ones were on my 2.1TD and 1.9TD cars.
Sounds like - if the ride height is correct (approx three fingers between the top of the tyre and the arch) - you need to replace the corner spheres. But replacing all three front spheres (corners (strut) and accumulator) would never be a bad thing.
