Xantia ABS ring
Are the Abs rings a changeable item or is it a case of a new driveshaft? I'm getting an ABS issue more and more frequently on my 1.8 Xantia . I dont have access to Lexia (hopeing to change that soon though) but for the sake of £14 or so each from Ebay I think I'll just stick 2 new ABS sensors on the front. But the teeth on the ABS rings are very corroded and not really teeth anymore as much as slow rolling hills (You British and your love for winter salt
) so if possible I'd like to change them too. But that brings me back to the question of whether they are changeable? Cheers

Here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CITROEN-XANTI ... 43a3af7cfc
There are two sizes so to be sure you'll need to measure the diameter of the driveshaft where the ring sits, I did it with a cut out bit of cardboard, there's a 10mm difference so not too difficult.

Not really if you're capable of getting the hub away from the driveshaft, thoroughly clean the location heat the ring and put it on quickly, it will shrink tight in place.
If the existing ring is just split a good clean around the area and pour on some locktite push the ring back into place and let it set it will work until you have more time to put the new one on.

Gibbo,
Have a look at my recent thread about CV joints, There is company that does a selection of outer CV joints for Xantias for £19 for my version.
I remove my drive shaft an put the new CV joint on in no time at all.
A lot cheaper than £100 for a new shaft web address below have a look.
