hi,
I live in buxton and just been on holiday to dorset, 240 miles each way. brilliant on fuel, sorry it's a 2.0 hdi on a y reg.... on the way home today, I noticed the car juddering a bit, put your foot down and no prob, but when accelerating it was juddery, then the engine management light came on, so I got off the motorway, just incase it was going to give in on me, and the last 70 miles home it did it a couple more times but ran fine all the way home, management light stayed on throughout. I went back out to it and noticed the message "antipollution fault" on the display. so now I have had to pop out in it twice since and the light has gone out and no message.... what is the way to fix the fault incase it emerges again? thanks for any help. Still got just under half a tank of fuel left and was getting 60.1 mpg most of the way back.........cheers,dean

What kind of car is it?
Being a y-reg anything and a 2.0HDi it shouldnt have a FAP filter, unless its a 307. Of course the antipollution message is not just from FAP related problems.
Best way of telling is get it hooked up to a diagnostic Lexia and have the fault codes read.

I see, you wont have a FAP filter then.deano1970 wrote:hi,
really sorry, it's been a long day.The car is a peugeot 406. 2.0 hdi on a y reg........
It might well be something simple but it could be one of many things.
Your best bet is to get it on a diagnostic machine.
There are members on here who are willing to offer their Lexia services and they can be found around the country. It might be worth searching out the thread (ill try find it) and giving them a contact. Failing that most decent garages should have some sort of fault code reader.
