Is aircon reboot possible

As you know from my other thread am having AC probs, but stumbled over a few google articles that sudgest rebooting the AC, i know this an be done on some other types of system so is it somthing that can be done on a Xantia? Or is AC reboot on a xantia a load of bollox?
