door open sensors

Evening all,
just a quicky, car seems to lock fine, all is good with remote, but every sooften the alarmsounds for no reason, on relocking get the door open chirp,
found the bonnet catch sensor and cleaned it up, but cant see the usual door sensors?? Anyone point me in the direction of them please?( S2 Xant estate)

There is a thread two weeks ago on this subject, plus as yours is an estate look on the boot lock catch for a microswitch which may have been displaced.

Well think ive narrowed it down to the boot switch, it looks like the catch isnt revolving quite enough to depress the switch fully, if i pop the switch out of the lock and press it in it'll lock fine, no chirp, if i spin the lock round and hold it fully rotated its fine and locks with no chirp, but just spin it so it catches as itwould when closed i getthe chirp!
Ive looked at it and tried moving the catch into the cara bit more and out and no difference, (didnt reall6 expext there to be really but worth a try!) Tried a bit of electricwl tape around the catch on the boot floor too but again, no difference,
Am wondering if its a case the boot lock has worn away where it makes contact??
Any ideas for temp fixes?? Or replacement catch from breakers??

The reason I mentioned the boot lock is that I came across this problem a few years ago and as you describe I found the boot lock catch to be worn, specifically around its pivot pin. You'll either have to replace the catch or you could simply keep the switch in the closed position by wrapping around it with tape to keep the plunger depressed.

I had thought ofthat! But thought id see if there was a sightly lesserm, bodged fix haha!
