Berlingo - 'Lectric windows one touch

Post by jkirkwood »

Anyone (Probably Jon) know about the one touch switching for the driver's side 'lectric windows on a Berlingo Multispace 2.0Hdi?
Press the 'down' button briefly and the window goes all the way down. Press the up button briefly and the window only moves whilst your finger is on the button.[?]
You could argue that it is safer that way, but I got this feeling that the one touch should happen to close the window as well.

Yes, thats right.
They did it like that for safety reasons, that is so a child could not get its head wedged in the window by the window going up. More sophisticated vehicles have a sensor which stops the window going up if there is an obstruction, but the one touch down and hold the switch up method is cheap and effective I suppose.
One touch means for the down direction only, I'm afraid.
