Not the main left/right motor mounts, but the 2½" diameter bushes which are affixed upper right rear and lower front centre to the engine.
They don't seem to last well. We're about to replace them on three cars.
That said, all the ones I have sighted, seem to have the web positioned vertically (more or less). Is there a better alignment?
Thanks, Adam.

Don't make the same mistake as I did on my XM 2.1TD by replacing both bushes with the same (bottom) bush type - result lots of vibration in the dash and cabin. The correct top bush has a much softer rubber compound. Buying the bushes and alloy housings complete will avoid this problem but is an expensive option. I bought the bushes and pressed them into my existing housings.

Hi Ken, the applications list I have for a 605 with PRV, shows the same bushing P/N top and bottom (1809.24) - based on your comments and the parts listings, one might assume they are considered adequately soft. My flooded car has one of these uppers (identifiable by the plastic shell) and it's badly torn.
An acquaintance also worked out the replacement eye bushes for the restraining yokes, but I haven't asked if that information is for general dissemination yet.
