Hello

Unread post by craigp »

I'm Craig from Runcorn in Cheshire and after having fords and vauxhalls for the last few years I realised that I have been missing a french car on my drive

I am without a car at the minute and my main love is for Renault but after seeing the Xantia threads it is looking like swinging me towards that but I can't make my mind up

Welcome to the FCF :)

You can't go far wrong with a nice Xantia, there is a model to suit all tastes and needs and they are still around in good enough numbers that, unless you want a very rare model, you shouldn't have too many problems finding the right car.

Thank you for the welcome :D I'm going to spend this nightshift looking at ebay, autotrader and parkers to see which is the best for me.

We had some discussion on the most desirable spec recently. A few people arrived at more or less the same point - late model Exclusive 110, whether estate or saloon.

Welcome Craig, as the guys say you can't go far wrong with a Xantia and should anything go wrong I can't think of anything that the members here can't help you sort out.

Welcome Craig.

If you could manage to get to the meeting this weekend in March, Cambs. then there will be oodles of Xantias and many other Citroen models for you to look at and the members are generally quite amenable to test drives to help you choose.
There may even be some for sale, certainly there is a nice red Activa up for grabs at a very reasonable price.
If you haven't experienced an Activa then you should take the opportunity, nothing quite like them.

Thanks for the welcome :D

Thanks for the offer myglaren I hope everyone had a nice weekend and it was drier than here. I have my little lad on weekends so its always difficult to get out.

The activa is something that interests me but I also have my eye on a laguna sport tourer now! wish I could make my mind up.
