side airbag light on in xsara 1

hey gang

my side airbag light came on and i noticed that the green/yellow cable under the seat was loose so i just shorted circuited it, and bypassed the yellow plug/socket.

i thought this would turn the light off since it seemed like a bad connection was the problem, but the light is still on

any ideas?

Dont think thats for the airbag, i think the yellow plug is for the seatbelt unfastened warning. the airbag one will be brown or orange.

Just be careful poking around with them that you don't set the pyrotechnics off.
