I have a Mk I C5 with CD changer under the seat and I HAVE used it!

I have a 2005 face lift exclusive where this is standard.
What's your question?

Hi phil , I bought a changer from a mk1 C5 but it wont install on lexia to my car. I have the cable under the seat but dont know if the connector on the back of the radio has the right cables . Would it be possible to take a pic of the back of your radio so I can check it against mine. Regards john.

I would'nt have thought the mk 1 & 2 changers would be compatible with each other as the both use a different type of multiplex network.
The radios are completely different aswell, the mk1 has ISO style connectors & the mk2 radio has the quadlock type connector.

Hi John,
If you do mean the radio which is in the dash then I don't have tools to get it out. Would a shot of the under seat unit be any use?

Hi phil the radio is held in by screws behind the holes in the front , T6 torx screwdriver if I mind right. If you could let me know the numbers off the label on the changer that would be great Thanks

Hi John,
No joy with getting the radio out. I tried the smallest torx driver I have in the holes and couldn't feel screws.
Hopefully this should link to an image of the label on my underseat unit

and this should be the plug

Hi my radio doesn't have the cable on the back but the cable under the seat and my sons 407 has the cable on the radio but not under the seat. Are the workers at PSA just allowed to build the cars anyway they want.

UPDATE I've just pulled the dash to bits to find the cd cable with no luck, had a look at the cable under the seat only to trace it under the carpet to a connector where it ended . AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHH
