306 dashboard lights not working

dial lights and lights on buzzer not working, but no fuses are blown? before it happend a small bit of smoke came up from around the steering column area. Also the indicator relay started clicking randomly,but indicators and hazards work fine when used. Any ideas?

dosnt seem to have a dimmer roller? whats the reo stat? cheers for info
