An interesting little web site

Post by Sid_the_Squid »

Counts of cars being taxed each year, very interesting, clearly shows the most popular styles, plus gives a good idea of how rare a model is.

I looked on there earlier today and discovered its not very accurate, for instance it states that only one DS 21 EFi Pallas was registered between 2001 and 2010 and that was in 2007, but no mention of my one that I registered in 2009. :?

Interesting website......

20,129 Xantia's left taxed in the uk and just 1,199 BX's left taxed.

This is of course if the info is 100% correct, even if it's not it does give you a rough idea.

Thought my Zx16v was rare but according to this there's 29 on the road and 36 on sorn , the number of people who didn't even know that Citroen did a 2.0 16valve Zx is quite surprising , they know about the volcane but not the 16v , quite a different car altogether . Good car the 1.9i petrol volcane though , would love a turbo D one

We had this in another post recently, "How many Renaults left" I thikn was the thread title. A interesting but possibly wrong website, given that they list a Xantia with a 1.0T and 4 still in existence :?

Looks as though my ex's Maestro TD was the last one left running in Britain when she scrapped it in 2006. Only one was taxed in 2005, none taxed the following year ! If only we had known it was such a rare classic
Shame it almost entirely consisted of filler and Hammerite by that stage....
