Xantia Activa

Post by jwalshe »

Hello!

Just picked up an Activa - lovely machine (albeit not quite as spectacular as the CX I once owned!)

Does anyone here own an Activa? Just wondering if I'm one of many or one of the lucky few.

I can't imagine many were sold?

There are many of us on here.

1224 UK Activas of which I think it has been deduced about 215 remain.

Of those 1224, 990 were S1 and 234 were S2.

Welcome to a rather exclusive (and fun!) club.

Can we expect to see you at the CCC National this year?

Welcome to the FCF and to Activa ownership :D

I have one, see my sig for details, there are a good few on here with them too.

What year is yours?

Check over in the Activa section of this forum for more threads and info relating to Activas, we recently drew up a Activa colour thread which gives you some idea as to how many owners are on here.

Roughly 1200 Activas were sold in the UK, according to a website only around 200 still exist in the UK and only 150 of those are road goers.

Hi guys!

Thanks for the welcome (and the link)!

Mine is a series two (2000 on a W plate) with leather, electric seats etc. Really pleased with it - although it needs a little attention (central locking doesn't work on passenger door and the exhaust is blowing from somewhere behind the engine) but otherwise it's in perfect order.

Really excited about being a Citroen owner again! So yes, you can bank on me being at the rally. It's been years - I used to go to the one held at the showground in Peterborough (when the CX could be bothered to start!)

Blowing behind the engine is probably exhaust manifold gasket.
Check out the last few pages of CitroJim's blog as he's recently detailed how to replace it.

I've been looking through your Flickr photostream, very good there are some excellent photo's on there :D being a DS owner I've got to ask was this one of the DS driving past staged/photoshopped or just happened? This is just one of many interesting photo's there, now in my favourites.

That was cunningly Photoshopped. The actual car driving past was a Toyota Avensis so what with the girl in the photo being French, it only seemed right to replace it!

I don't use Photoshop that much but in this case, I wanted to make the shot particularly special. :D

That's an unusual and very good wedding photo, shame about the sign behind the bride but a bit of photoshopification could fix that.
Nice candid shot all the same.
