could you put an xud in a hdi body
just an idea for now, but would it fail an mot on emissions as its suposed to be newer?

If we're talking Xantias, then it wouldn't make a difference as both just undergo a smoke test.

It would be fine as both Vehicles are too old to come under the newer derv emmissions test if we are talking Xantias but, as said above, its the shell of the car that governs what rules apply, technicaly if you swap an engine, even for the same engine you have to have an engineers report, inform the dvla and your insurance company..........technicaly.
but i cant see why it wouldnt pass the test anyway. Are you thinking of putting an XUD into a later shell then to run veg? might be easier just to buy another car.
