Magnet on fuel pipe C5
Looking around under the bonnet on this bloo......C5 (which won't start at the mo) there's a plastic case gadget with a magnet in it cable tied to one of the fuel pipes, no connections to anything on it, any ideas what it might be?
Suggestion have been so far, a scam fuel economy device, a tracker sensor, somehing to open a gate. etc.

More than likely a "fuel saving" device. Makes you want to cry how many people seem to be under the impression that magnets are magical.
No real reason to attach a magnet to a fuel line unless for some reason your fuel is full of iron filings
. Remove it and stick it to the fridge or something
