stuck in germany

rear spheres gone got a new set of fronts in boot can i fit them to rear to get me home/steve

Yes they'll work OK on such an occasion as long as you drive with restraint due to a change in the cars handling, what makes you think that they have (presumably) suddenly failed as usually they lose pressure gradually.

they gone rock hard mate started in belguim on way over and slowly got harder gone out today and its solid on rear

Very soft,with less handling !

What happens when the rear height corrector white plastic pops off?
Does the rear sink or rise? Both cases will cause hard suspension. Could this be the reason :-k

I checked from IFHS catalogue and for a Xantia sedan 1.9TD it says:
Front XA 70 FA
Rear XA 30 RZ
Accumulator RP 62 DP

Front 70 bar and rear 30 bar.

Fronts are only 55 but the other pressures are correct.

The link rod coming off would cause the rear of the car to be rock hard ,but a visible differance in ride height would be noticeable..(something which hasn't been mentioned by the o.p )

The larger damper hole in front sphere's when fitted to the rear will make the rear raaatthhheeerr ssssoooofffttt but OK :lol:

cheers guys def spheres,cant get the bloody things to come undone so will have to have a bumpy ride home next week,garage over here wants nearly 500 euro to do job and wont lend me a sphere tool even though they have one,ill do it when i get home sod it
