Citroen Dispatch 2.0Hdi

Unread post by bxzx16v »

Here's a few pics of my daily driver as the Zx16v is my pride and joy and I won't put my tools in it , the dispatch is a 2006 (56) 110bhp Hdi , it's one of the last of this shape and has a couple of luxuries fitted like Air con and Electric windows but strangely no central locking . For anyone not having driven one of these they are a great drive especially with the 110 bhp Hdi and very good on fuel , the first pics are just after I got it last year after a long search for a nice tidy van I found this one near Chesterfield and as soon as I saw it I knew I would have it as it was near enough in mint condition and way better than anything else than I had seen . In the year I have had it all I have had to do was have it serviced a new Bosch battery and a new back box , I have also fitted a kenwood Bluetooth CD radio , next up may be a set of alloy wheels if I can find anything to fit that look nice ( alfa/fiat 5 stud fitment ) , here's the pics , comments always welcome ,

Heres a few pics of the inside which I am just on with lining with checkerplate floorcovering , I have yet to line the wheel arch boxes and side panels as I haven't had any spare time but this will be done soon along with the side panels and rear doors ,

Shiny van!

A mate of mine has a slightly tricked out Transit in black, its certainly unique though it does tend to get a bit muddy as he fixes agricultural machinery. Every time I see him I have a good nose around his gear, many an hour is spent talking about/comparing tools. At the moment, I've got the biggest socket at around 55mm but he's beating me on spanner size with 50mm IIRC

Be good to see a van presence at the Citroen Car Club National rally this year - heres the details

Its on the 16-17th July in Cambridgeshire.

Can't decide yet if it's the Zx16v or the dispatch ? Would certainly be cheaper in the Dispatch , though the 16v is reasonable on fuel if driven sensibly

Here's a bit of an update on my Dispatch , having got the chequer plate floor covering fitted I thought I'd get the sides and wheelarches done

Here's the O/S with the ply removed
Image

Same again but with the chequer plate stuck into place and refitted

Image

Now the wheelarch box covered and refitted

Image

I'm on with painting the old storage box silver to match so as soon as that's done I will refit that to the top of the box, here's a pic of the nearside panel/box which is going to get covered next ,

Image

And a pic of how the vans looking at the moment

Image

A bit of a mess but it will be sorted when the N/S panel is covered , I'll post some more pics when that's done , thanks

Yes there the same as the scudo , quite lucky to get a van this tidy as alot have had some abuse , it's a great van and it's got a bit of poke too with the 110bhp Hdi , only thing it's lacking is central locking but you get used to that , have you got a scudo yourself ?

Forgot about my Dispatch thread , well I've sold it due to thefts & breakins and thought I could manage with my Zx16v for the occasional job but found it wasn't upto it so I decided to replace it with this little beauty

Sadly not a Citroen but a very useful little bus with the 120bhp 1.9jtd multijet diesel , having owned a doblo cargo a couple of years ago which had covered 150k and drove like 50k I know what these engines are capable of . Not everyones cup of tea but it suits my needs perfectly being cheaper to insure & tax than the dispatch and with 40+ mpg in town .
