Rear electrovalve back to front?

Post by Stempy »

On the rear electrovalve block on the Xantia there are two hydraulic supply pipes which I believe come from the antisink valve. What would be the effect of connecting them into the wrong way round? And can anyone tell which way round they are supposed to be
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

Hi Stempy,

One is a high pressure feed to assist in operating the electrovalve and the other is the feed from the height corrector via the anti-sink valve.

Get them round the wrong way and you'll find the rear will rise to full height when the engine is running and very solidly stay there!!!!

The pipe from the end of the anti sink valve should go to the rear port (i.e. nearest the mounting bracket) of the Hydractive block. That's how it is on a MK2 Activa.
