If you get a new key for the ignition barrel then the van wont start untill its been coded to van. I dont belive you can recode a second hand key to a different van. If your not bothered about having an imobiliser it can be easily bypassed seeing as you have a currently working key, if you unplug the little black imoboiliser control box behing the dash while the engine is running the transponder key wont be needed again untill its re connected. The other option is to tape the working key inside the reciever ring & tuck it away behind the steering column.

However, you CAN program another key as long as you have or know someone with a LIEXIA interface!

This will allow you to do it...

But as wheeler says - the immobiliser pickup is a simply addition thats clipped onto the ignition barrel in a thing of its own (on Xantias it is anyway) so, simply unclip it, and hide it with the old key attached to it..

It MUST be away from the other key as it will get confused.. but as long as your current key is strapped to it when you goto start it will be uncoded already. Thats the cheapest way to do it..
