Anyone near Harlow able to spare an hour??

I'm looking to buy a good car(well it looks good!!) but it's in Harlow and I'm nearly 3 hours away. It's possible if it's good that I'd be getting it later in the week ready for the weekend but really I need a set of eyes over it as there's only so much I'll trust a seller and pictures. A picture says a 1000 words but it doesn't mean any of them are true.... It's not a Citroën but it nicks the Citroën idea of not using springs and dampers to give a decent enough ride for it's size

any help greatly appreciated!

I'm not far from Harlow & may be able to help.
Let us know the details - I'm curious as to what non-Citroen car doesn't use springs & dampers!

Many appear to have no springs and dampers these days but my guess is:

An Austin 1800 Landcrab.....

Good choice Will although I'd have gone for an Austin Princess myself.

Not after a fashion accessory these days Jim

Im getting old and want my comfort now...

Last hydrolastic car i had was a metro 1.3auto... them were the days lol
it even had leccy windows but no AC..

The swift does the small car thing for the wife at the moment though it doesn't half hoon and they are holding pretty steady resale wise...

My first thought was a Land/Range Rover of some sort but they're now made by some Indian mob aren't they? Or is that Jaguar?

Can't be a Merc Steve as Will mentions some Britishness about it.. Nothing remotely British anywhere in a Merc...

Certain older merca use a Citroënesque system for the rear

Only the jags and landies in the past 2-3yrs are Tata ones, Ford had JLR for a while too iirc

I was thinking of Mercedes with air suspension.
