One of my chums has been having a bit of bother with the clutch on his 106 diesel, to the point where he doesn't really trust it.
Not entirely sure what problems he's having but he's been told it "probably needs changing".
This was about 5 months ago, so I'm getting close to the point of saying I'll have a bash and he can pass spanners.
Dusted off my old 106 BoL which says that in order to replace the clutch, the transmission needs to come out...
Is this correct? I was under the impression that a lot of the time you could unbolt the transmission and weasel it out of the way but leave it in situ.
Thanks

it might be a bit tight for space on a 106, also dont try and take a short cut by not pulling the O/S driveshaft out, because you can bend the inner section of the shaft whilst trying to lever the box over/out of the way,
