Activa yey or nay

Post by trooper30 »

As you guys have probably sussed I have a lot of motors through my hands and am off to Oxfordshire tomorrow to pick up a 2001 Frontera, so what the conection to Citroen I hear you ask? Well in the pics for his Frontera I noticed a Xantia in the back ground and whilst talking to the guy he told me it was his dads car and its been sitting on his drive for 9 months since his dad passed away!
Turns out that its a 2000 X plate Activa with 67k on the clock FSH full leather, and all the dealer/factory upgrades possible and with 7 stamps in the book. No tax or test but he went on to tell me it was garaged all of its life and his dad had owned it form brand new!
I SOOOOOOOOOOOO WANT IT! And am weting myself about it
The Frontera is just bread and butter stuff, but the Activa, OMG i cant wait to see it and maybe buy it all depending on how good it is, fingers crossed for tomorrow \:D/

Should I buy it? Take all the flack the wifes gonna give if I do? Dam, i recon a week of her having the hump it is wort it if the Activa is a good one!

Well it was every thing I was expecting and more, its almost showroom, and given that I see loads of motors everyweek thats a big statement form me. They guy showed me recipts for specialist engine work, thousands spent, upgrades and the remaping of the turbo, huge dump valve, every breather, pipe, hose nut and bold under the bonnet was glistening like new, and most of the work was done in France by a specialist, with some parts being custom made for the car, I couldnt believe it, this motor must be one of a kind as I have never seen anything thats factory even close to this.
The guys took me for a spin in it and I was stunned! The last turbo motor I drove was a Saab 9-3 HOT turbo a few weeks ago (about 230bhp) and I kid you not when I say that this Activa made the Saab feel like a 1.8 Mondeo. It was frighteningly quick, almost has a little tear of joy when I put my foot down

But!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He cant tell me if its available for sale untill next week when his mum gets back from the south of France, as it was her husbands car she has the final say so I wont find out untill next Wednesday at the earliest so fingers crossed.
