slowest citroen ever(not 2cv)post 90

As this is my first time just like to say thank you to all the people who find time to reply to peoples problems[:)]ive a 93 1.9d lx xantia not too quick but very good on fuel35-45mpg sound about rite ? not sure about the ride height seems to sit too high tried to use the ride height near the gear stick to lower the suspension just goes back up? Still is my car the slowest 4 door going or what[:D]

Would have thought you should be much nearer 45mpg than 35, if not a bit higher! friend gets 50+ from a 1.9d BX and I manage 50-55 from a 1.9d ZX.
Agreed that non of the non turbo diesels are very quick, but you kind of get used to it after a while.... ;-)

I get 50MPG+ out of my 1.9D Xantia under most circumstances. Performance however is a joke. I thought it was worse until I found my speedometer/odometer was reading 20% slow. It needs constant gear changes to keep it rolling at anything over 40mph although when it is wound up it will cruise along at the legal limit all day.
