Before I go posting in the Sales/wants section, I'd like to get a little info please folks.
I have an abs warning light, and have been advised that it is the offside front abs ring, which is cracked. Garage have attempted a repair, but have now advised me to get a replacement driveshaft, as it is this part which is proving impossible to mount the repaired abs ring onto.
Do I need to get a driveshaft from the same model/fuel type/engine size, or are they all the same? Will a second-hand replacement have the abs ring fitted?
My car is a Xantia S2, 1.8 petrol (manual).
Or is there a crafty way of fooling the ecu into thinking the abs is functioning normally and not showing the warning light when it goes for mot in a month?
I should add that the abs warning has been showing since Xmas, however I have normal (non-abs) braking with no funny symptoms.
Regards
Ainslie

I bought one of these off Ebay, I have not fitted it yet but there is info on how to do it on the Forum, your Garage should not have a problem.
