Last year me and a couple of friends had the honour of playing around with a fully working BBC Domesday machine. An amazing use of the technology at the time documenting a snapshot of the life in the 80s, mostly by school children so accuracy could be a bit of an issue
Unfortunately due to the shear cost of the setup, not many people got to see the hard work they put into it. The BBC have now reproduced the majority of it on the Internet for all to see, hopefully a more permanent home as last time a preservation project was up on the net the organiser unfortunately passed away and so did his site.
I really am very excited
