Xantia auto wipers

Hi,is there any way to disable the auto wiper setting on a xantia and to revert to a standard intermittant set up? I have a 2000 model SX HDi.

As I'm having faults with mine, I can say yes... Pull sensor from screen, leave hanging from window (behind the mirror cover) or just cover up one of its 'eyes'.

It'll default back to intermittant wipe!

Only know this because insurance have put wrong screen in (tint band up top)

you HAVE to have the sensor connected though for the wipers to work.

I found this when a customers intermittend and Wash sweep stopped working! Gave the connecting plug a waggle and they came back to life.

Yep, learnt that one too! Did yours just stop mid screen when turning them off? (With sensor unplugged)

They wouldnt go on int at all.. Had to switch to 1st speed...
