406 hdi fuel saver how to fit??

Post by deano1970 »

hi,
my knowledge of an engine is zero, but I have bought this item 190524061185 from e bay, it is supposedly a fuel saving device and the instructions are just to fix it to the main fuel pipes. What I need to know is, would these things really work? I got two, thought it worth a try with cost of fuel, and secondly, when I take off the engine cover, there are several pipes going to the fuel filter, I just need to be sure which ones I attach theses saving devices to? looking from the e bay page, I attach them to the two widest pipes that appear to be covered in a black gauze that appear to go into what I guess is the fuel pump? Any advice would be appreciated. It probably won't work, but it definitely won't if I put them on the wrong pipes? thanks in advance, deano :)

I'm afraid you've just been conned out of 4 quid.

There's no way wrapping something around the fuel line of a car is going to make any difference to economy!

If they worked they'd be fitted to the car from the factory as economy sells cars!

I'd send it back and get a refund personally!

Simple to fit.

Approach bin, lift lid, place fuel saving device inside bin, close lid.

Sorry Dean, they're just snake oil for cars.
