Hello Kenny

Well you would need an Intercooler and slightly different turbo fitted
to be like a 110 HDI engine.

Cheapest way to update your power is first by Tuning box and then have a custom remap done.

I have an energy tuning box (Synergy 1) on my car and must say it smoothed my engine out but can't confirm the BHP improvement it's made but most companies state around 20 bhp improvement and 30ftlbs+ torque

Have a look here :

I believe the gear ratios also differ from the 90 to 110, of course you wouldn't have to change the gearbox just to get the increased bhp.

A tuning box or remap would give you something near and might be the best option.

The 110bhp engined cars have the ML5 gearbox fitted, the 90BHP has the BE4R. There may be a different torque capacity between the two boxes as well as dfferent ratios, the ML5 certainly takes more oil.

A look on ebay for a 110bhp HDi :D

Sorry couldn't resist.

Really though its the easiest and cheapest option as once you start playing with turbos and intercoolers your insurance company with just go $$$$ and its not really worth it.

A tuning box could possibly get you there and would maybe be better than a standard 110 as there wouldnt be as much spool up lag but you would suffer much higher inlet temps when the weather is warm and thus worse performance and economy as well.

A Stage 1 remap will give 120bhp with no need for an intercooler or increased boost. In fact, you don't even have to put a spanner to it !
