Warning Buzzer

Post by mongoose100 »

I hear various talk about a so called buzzer linked to central STOP light.

Is this on Xantia's? None of mine seem to have this device, can see how it could come in handy tho

No, Ive not heard of it..
the only buzzers standard fit are the ones for lights on, and on S2 cars key in ignition with door open..

I cant see it being a big problem wiring it in.. Taking the feed from the STOP wire feed at the bottom of the instrument cluster.

The XM features a BEEP sound that sounds everytime the information display shows a message.. to get your attention I guess .. a nice touch I think..

This buzzer was available in some markets... I've seen reference to it in wiring diagrams...

If you make one, it needs a delay built in so it doesn't annoy you whilst hydraulic prerssure is building.. A 30s delay on all except an Activa (1 hour delay) would be OK...

Oz delivery, I think - and maybe one of the fussier European countries like Switzerland.

Can get annoying when using the Lexia or anything else which requires ignition on, motor off for longer periods than a few seconds.

Would you like one posted over FOC?

tell me where the damn thing is & I'll rip mine out & throw it to UK !

I hate the thing!

As Addo says, "annoying when using the Lexia or anything else which requires ignition on..." & I have been doing A LOT of that over the last few weeks.

Wind the window down and use the gap it leaves instead.

just recovering from 4 broken ribs, punctured lung, dislocated shoulder & all 3 AC ligaments reconstructed & you want me to hang out the window as I work under the dash !

:)

30 years ago I was that agile ,not now.

First thing I did on the VSX was remove the alarm unit , but that was 15 years ago , I just cannot find it on the V6.

Pleas put me out of my misery, just tell me were it is,...... please. !

My xsara had one, it is plugged into the rear of the clock dials panel, you have to remove the clocks to take it out, it also sounds the indicator click, sam

Just above your right toes - look for an off-white relay box with slots in it.

There are two - one for headlights and autobox (it's quieter), one for LHM pressure. In my picture above, latter is the one between orange and green relay boxes.

From memory I think I just have a blank plug where that white box sits...

Just a matter of plugging one in then huh? Plug and play is always nice

Well that'll teach you for attempting page 48 of the karma sutra without limbering up first ;)

I thought it may have been for attempting to follow the KS with an unconsenting kickboxer!
