Yes, there are loads of Hitler parodies using this clip and a couple of others from the same film. This and one on him not being happy with a BMW GS had me in tears !

Soapbox warning, but don't take it personally chaps...

For his inflammatory role, leading a régime of murderous tyranny, the fellow's name deserves no mention whatsoever. I don't advocate enforced censorship, just an ongoing awareness of the horrible past he oversaw.

I respect your point of view but on the other hand, taking the pi55 out of him has a certain appeal.

Toby, I don't think preceding posts did invoke any such test/condition.

I still recall hearing as a child, stories from people barely one removed from some of the really horrible events. It's not as though I'm about to start reiterating them now, because the thread is about a certain type of humour (remember the "Lambeth Walk" film reel)?

What always bothers me, is the failure of fascism to die, and with the passing of time to blunt some horrors of wholesale European conflict, its rise in popularity among the ill-informed or otherwise bigoted. And pretty much as I said at the outset, it's personal opinion that every time someone invokes some of the despots by name without gravitas, I feel it diminishes the past.

Please note I wouldn't ever suggest the OP modify his posting; my viewpoint was simply something I felt morally obligated to raise.

Cheers, Adam.
