How do i stop lacquer peeling?

Pick off any delaminated clear coat, rub the area over gently with a scchbright pad and then wash, then blow over with more clear, best to use two pack as it lays on better, your local body shop may well mix you up some and put it in a spray can, you will have to go straight home and spray it as once mixed two pack wont last long.

If you leave the clear with a hole in it it will just peel off at an alarming rate.

Hello Mike,
My Dante Red Estate had exactly the same problem and looked a real mess.
In April 2010,I took it to a body shop in Smethwick.They re-sprayed the roof and the bonnet,blended in the tops of the wings,tailgate and doors and the car looks superb again.
They had the car for three days, Cost £450. Worth every penny.
