Hi, my friends Espace diesel , 51 plate. He ran the fuel too low , now it won"t start as it keeps sucking air. any ideas ? the tanks now full of diesel !!

In the engine bay you should find either a syphon bulb or bulb knob next to the fuel filter whis is there to pump up the fuel after a dry run.
In general you keep pumping until the device clearly feels hard by the fuel pumped up.
There will still be some cranking on the engine to allow the pump & injectors feeds to vent.
You should therefore prepare for charging the cars battery.
Allow the starter motor to rest at least 5minutes between any 20 seconds continous cranking max.
Or it will burn out ...

espace wont start
My friend took his car to a local garage.
They said the Crankshaft sensor was faulty . They fixed it , the bill a staggering £205- 98 . What a rip off !
