hi just a thought after replacing the rear shoes on my 95 306 td... i notice some models have rear discs, is this viable to retrofit? is the braking much better? or shall i stay with the drums?....
thanks

Whether or not this is possible, I couldn't really say, but it would certainly involve a hell of work and a lot of new parts, probably for very little gain. The hubs and bearings are different. Also the wheel cylinders on the drum brakes contain regulating valves. On disc brake models, a load sensitive regulating valve is fitted in the hydraulic curcuit under the floor. According to Haynes, it's a specialist job to carry out adjustment to the valve.
