What Bolt am I Missing???

Post by gadgetgricey »

Got to move my 2.1TD breaker as the wife wants the garden back. (Selfish of her I know  )

Trying to take bits off it today, and have got stuck on the following.

Image

I think its the Diesel pump, (But knowing my skills it could be the ABS unit   )

I''ve disconnected all the pipework, and also removed the three bolts. It moved slightly but wont come off. Now even taken the big bolt of the cam belt gubbins on the left with no success.

It jiggles around in all directions, but wont come off.

Any ideas????

Thanks

so you've got the 3 13mm nuts off the pump housing?

i'd get the sprocket off as if you're removing it that way it needs to be removed

I'd say the pulley would have to come off.

Yup, and you'll need to make up/buy a pulley puller :)

Theres another 3rd 13mm nut HIDDEN down the bottom behind the Spring looking tensioner... you WILL have to get that bracket off to get at the 13mm nut on the pump...

to get that off, HP pump off, altinator off, then theres 3 6mm allen head bolts and a 13mm bolt and the bracket comes off...

Yes, it's the same as a Bosch Paul, three nuts on the flange (one inaccessible) and one on the end...

A 'half moon' spanner helps with the inaccessible one...

You'll need a puller like this to get the sprocket off:
