Radio/CD keeps switching to 'news' etc

Yes, sorry in advance, :oops:

Probably a reeeeeeeeealy simple fix,wrong setting etc. I'm rubbish with radios, I'm happy if I've got my local Pulse Bradford,Real, and some easy listening stations..oh, and my 6 cd changer jobby,that'll do me :lol:

Anyway, the darn radio,or cd if it's playing, keeps getting interrupted by 'NEWS' on the display screen, and traffic alerts,(I think). Highly annoying when you're in the middle of a good tune. Then I don't like to mess with it, if I'm on the move,in traffic etc,it's too distracting.

Anything to do with this RDS thing? *

* yes, I also have no idea what RDS is...what a noob I am :oops: :lol:

oh, bog standard s2 radio..clarion?

I'm guessing if it's anything like mine that there will be a "TP" button.
If TP is set on my radio I get traffic updates which sometimes goes to the news as well if it doesn't cut off.
If it has got a "TP" button, press it so that TP isn't displayed.
