C5 Particulate Filter

Post by wigelywoo »

What is involved in changing the particulate filter
Is this job within the scope of amateur mechanic and does it need computer reset at the end of it. I'm nearing 100,000 miles, 2nd change, and I had Eolys topped up @ 86,000.I paid in the region of £400 last time, but I can buy filter for about £160.
Thanks for replies.

Quite simple really so long as you adhere to the Citroen Safety rules.
Unless you have access to a pit, you will need to jack the car up (Suspension set on high) and support with stands. The DPF is held on with 4 13mm nuts and an exhaust clamp at the back.
You will also need to remove two pressure sensors, 19mm i think and they were quite tight on my car!!
