Technosir C720 has arrived

Post by Hydropneumatics »

Hi,
a fellah helped me from Greece, no sooner did I get a pdf from him, I immediately placed an order with the Technosir for the valprex valves, C850 Eccentric valve remover tool, as well as the Technosir C720, I got a return communication from Sandro at Technosir and I initiated a payment via the PP and their parcel was here to Canada from Italy within one week.
I am happy as it has been for months that I have been trying to get a hold of this equipment, it is not really as cheap as the shipping costs added on top of the total as well as Taxes after it lands here all adds to the final outcome.
Using the Technosir C720 could have been made easy by the Instructions that it came with, however the Instructions that are written are a direct translation from Italian to English - exactly word for word in that sequence, maybe an Italian would understand this expressions but I have had a difficulty , also the instructions that I received is written for the first series of the Technosir C720 charger which in my opinion is far superior to the one that I received.
My Technosir have a newer head to charge the sphere Valprex valve, hence it does not need a bleed valve at the charger main body as this latter was present as a tap on the Left Hand side this helped after the charge was made to the sphere, to remove any excess N2 left inside the pipes before removing the charge head from the sphere valve.
Also the N2 feed that the Technosir came with is for the European standard and the feed isn't compatible with the CGA 580 North American N2 bottle.
I have managed to get all these things taken care off , hence my Technosir is fully operational and am already using it with the N2 bottle that is filled with pure as you can get Nitrogen M 99.995% pure, though care must be taken when charging the spheres to expel any O2 left inside the pipes as well as the sphere diaphragm, my idea is to use a vacuum gun to fit onto the valprex valve that is fitted to your sphere and or screw the sphere to be charged onto a sphere checker , pump about 2 bars of pressure into the sphere, this will expel any leftover O2 from the sphere's top membrane out of the valprex valve also this will only expel air out only when you would use a pin to hold down the ball that is part of the Valprex valve so all the Oxygen will be expelled from the top of the valve, now just screw the Technosir head onto the Valprex valve of the sphere to be charged and execute the charge.
All these instructions are not written anywhere or posted anywhere, it is the experience that has allowed me to give an overview.
I am already charging as per the above write up, though someone may not agree and I understand, therefore.
I stand to be corrected anytime.

cheers

I think your purchase must be among the more recent noted in Citroën circles.

What was the price you paid Tecnosir, just for the parts (excluding freight)?

Thanks, Adam.

Hi,
I haven't been following the Citroens for quite some time now since my write up on the CX-L and the XM-L may have erupted problems for some folks causing me to be moderated from these lists, I also lost interest in being a part of these groups as although they helped in some ways .. they were a pain in some other ways as in more Brits are a part of the CX-L and the XM-L my English both spoken as well as expressed was under scrutiny this caused me to withdraw momentarily from the lists.. I used to be a very active member amongst Citroën circle of excellence....
anyhow with reference to the Technosir C720 and the Valprex Valves, since mine arrived , I have referred a few other local people to order and get these chargers and there have been a few that received them, I may not be the last person.. the cost without the freight was $400 CAD, though after freight to Canada it amounted to a grand total of $524 plus the local taxes and the duties... although expensive at first .. but well worth it as I can recharge spheres at any given time.. no waiting for some other means.
email me citroens@rogers.com should you need more information.

Tecnosir recharge rigs are good.

I wouldn't worry about the tiny bit of Oxygen present, you are putting yourself to un-necessary trouble in my opinion.

Your English is good, we can understand you which is the main thing. Please keep contributing.

Thanks for the update on pricing and freight costs - we are almost on dollar parity, so it's easy to get my head around. I appreciate informed bluntness, and have in my time told the odd forum where to get off.

It sounds like the rig would be very cost effective here; plan being to set up regassing in a rural centre where the "competition" is 500km away and of dubious quality.

Cheers, Adam.

Hi ,
Technosir is slow to respond when you email them via their website, however if you can speak Italian , just call them and talk to them, I paid for mine via the PayPal and as soon as the payment was through they had already shipped the package and I had already got it within 7 days, though I had been waiting for a long time initially when I was trying to get a hold of them via their website.

If you have already dealt with them before then there should be no problem getting any refills;)

We used to use another make, however they are no longer available, however I think they were better.
So its a lot of years since we have needed any Valprex ones.
Im going to have another try at getting the ones I originally want, if not ill contact Technosir and get some of those.

I wondered about the lingo - can understand Aussie Italian (it's a southern dialect, reflecting Siciliano and Calabrese with maybe 20% English thrown in) well enough, but have to respond in English. As I plan to do the Alfa Selespeed accumulators, will put my Sicilian mate onto the case.

Robert - is she cute?

I have a daughter Laura but I much prefer the Italian pronunciation.

No one could accuse Laura Pausini of being "cute", more a bit scary but she's quite something anyway you look at it.

Your English is fine hydropmeumatics. Some folks are far to up themselves for their own good

thank you for your kind words but the other lists made me very conscious of my English.. I did study in the U.K many years ago and also lived there for over 18 years before I came to Canada.

Number of Citroens owned here in Ontario, Canada:
1990 XM V6 Auto LHD with Deravi steering has 8 spheres
1988 CX TRI Auto
1986 CX Doverin 4 speed
1986 CX Gti Turbo 5 speed... work in progress as this car was hit when I had taken it for a test drive from the previous seller.
1991 Buick Riviera with Air ride suspension
1993 Buick Riviera Pearl White with matching leather interior with Air ride suspension
1996 Buick Riviera Pearl White Super Charged with Air ride suspension
1997 Buick Riviera Pearl White Super Charged with Air ride suspension.. chassis being strengthened for being transformed into a convertible, this latter I am planting XM struts at the rear and front with Hydropneumatic suspension, only it will have an Electric pump for the hydraulics and not the belt driven 7 piston.
