through pulling my 1.9 xud to bits im discovering & learning loads ans a diesel newbie.
next question is turbos.
my engine is 130k and the turbo shaft has a bit of play, and is particularly oily, as is the intrcooler pipework,
in looking at recon turbos theres quite a few listed for the xud9
mine for info is a garret gt1549
apart from fitting the vaiuos manifolds and exhausts. will any of the kkk or garret turbos function with an xud9, is there much uniqueness( todays new word) to any of them and the specs for a partiular engine?
which turbo/ any turbo?

Unless yours has had a very hard life or is showing obvious signs of wear, I wouldn't worry about it, my experience is that with regular oil changes they will last well in excess of 200,000 miles, I have had a couple in XMs that have done nearly 300k. You will almost always find oil in the pipework, its mostly condensate from crankshaft ventilation.
