Picasso heat shield
Today i'm requesting instead of giving advice! Yesterday I had the misfortune to put a new clutch in a 55 plate 1.6HDi Picasso. I have done many Picassos with no problem. The layout of this one was new to me, starter buried at the rear, turbo on top at the front. Having decided to change all the bolts from the ones they've been using for 30 years, citroen in their wisdom decided to place one behind the exhaust fixing, meaning the exhaust had to be loosenedat the front. The problem I encountered was trying to remove the heatshield. I eventually got it off, (replacing it was another story) but it seems to me that the only way to remove and refit properly is to remove the radiator. Am I going mad or is this correct?
