c5 rack

does anyone know if the steering racks for the mk1 c5's are the same as i have a diesel but the scrappies only has a petrol one in.thanks

Looks like it depends....

If it's got variable steering (presumably assistance?) then they're all the same. If it's not, then there are different ones at different ages and for different engines :?

The 110 diesel (not sure about the 90) has a greater turning circle than the petrol cars so there must be a difference in something somewhere.

Well yes and no, earlier 2.0HDis which wear 15" wheels (not estates) have a smaller turning circle than later hatchbacks which have 16" wheels. Estates are all the same I think - turning circle wise, ive no idea about the racks.
