Xantia Vs 406

Has anyone driven both the V6 Xantia and the V6 406?

Just been comparing, I've noticed the Xantia has a lot more engine noise, but far superior comfort...

Thoughts on both? Thought they were pretty much the same vehicle

David hallworth is one man who can answer that. They have a 06 v6 406 cpupe and a 1997 mk.1 xantia v6...
With a v6 engine id prefer to hear it. Whats the point of a v if you cannot hear it...

i have a v6 twin turbo, and you can hear it. sounds lovely as well. but its not a french car.
