Thats a Tight window to predict..

I always thought it was from M reg 1994 onwards... but, though I have been prooven wrong..

Ive had and got an L reg SX TD in Black.. also had one a good few years ago.

I have NO air bags, chevrons on the bonnet, but she HAS got anti sink. My other identical one, was a sinker.

Ive customers with an L reg one, and she IS a sinker... unfortunally, the rear nearside wing is slowly disintigrating....

So it was sometime late 1993 to early 1994 when they starting adding it..

Sinkers normally can be differentiated by the Chevrons on the bonnet as Paul says.

A more positive ID is to eyeball the hydraulic pump. It'll only have one outlet pipe and a big lump called the FDV (Flow Distribution Valve) will be seen just above the pressure regulator.

You can tell a sinker too by the characteristic noise the FDV makes. A homely and comforting intermittent hissing sound. I miss that sound on the anti-sinks :( The sound of a real Hydraulic Citroen!

I can't answer the original question but I think sinkers keep their rear suspension more supple (in my experience) and the steam train hissing when sat at traffic lights is quite good.
