Xantia Tailgate Lock Compatibility

Hi

Would anyone know if a Series 2 Saloon Tailgate lock would be compatible for use on a a Series 1 Saloon?

Otherwise, would anyone have a cheap Series 1 (non-noisy) tailgate lock kicking around?

Sorry! I've not been very clear here.

It is advice on the actual boot solenoid (that VertVega stripped down on one of his posts) that I am referring to.
