Vehicle: 306 restyle (N5)
When setting up for diagnosis, it asked for the "production number" - which per a picture onscreen was above the RPO on the door jamb label.
Now... Jamb label was missing due to refin work; RPO was barely readable in the engine bay (green ink on white paint; two numbers barely there).
Are Peugeot able to furnish this production number from records held?
Thanks, Adam.

They usually ask for it when you buy parts.
Is it not on the nearside strut tower as well on some ?
I think they can get it but they would probably need your vin number etc and have to email them for it, I don't think they will have a local record of it as such.

Sort of. Its not safe for anything other than a test.
The last car I did this to was a 505 if I remember correctly. Might of been a 504.
The relay was on the steering column, I just bridged the three middle contacts together (straight down the middle)
Its not safe to do this for anything other than a test though, but I'm not sure if its suitable for more 'modern' vehicles due to an excess of ECU's.
Sorry that's not a lot of help.

It can be got from the VIN if you use ServiceBox. I had to do the same for my Coupé due to a missing label.
Input the VIN and click OK. Then on the left hand side click Characteristics and it will be displayed. If you don't have access to ServiceBox I can do it for you if you wish.

so can i Adam,
also i had a fault on a 206 were my DIAG could not see the ECU even with the correct RP No. enterd,
it turned out to be the ECU protection relay which is a double sized brown relay under the ECU, or at least on a 206 it is, it had a chunck out of the caseing and it was full of water,
regards malcolm
